COMING SOON…PARIA OUTPOST… OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
As of today, May 1, Paria Outpost will be open for tours in the Grand Staircase & Vermilion Cliffs National Monuments areas. We practice social isolation as a lifestyle in the remote, rural environment where we live and consider the few tours we expect to have to be a minimum risk. All tours will be private tours. Kane County, Utah has had only 3 COVID-19 cases so far. The area has been virtually empty for the last month and a half, though, we are now seeing a small increase in visitation. Utah will be easing restrictions from RED (high risk) to ORANGE (moderate risk) as of today. Restaurants and lodging will be open, though, we never actually completely closed down like some states did. The Bureau of Land Management offices and ranger stations remain closed, so there is no Wave, North or South Coyote Buttes lottery except online. All the BLM land including the Grand Staircase and the Vermilion Cliffs National Monuments remain open. There is a lot to do in our largely unvisited area for those seeking the outdoors.
