Welcome to Paria Outpost. We are located in the beautiful Paria River Valley , out in the country away from crowds and towns.
We offer a peaceful alternative to busy impersonal hotels. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a country setting , make Paria Outpost your home away from home!
FOOD & LODGING
Paria Outpost offers a Bed and Breakfast accommodation. The room is small , one queen bed , so you will have solitude . If you want to get away from it all- you can unplug here, there are no TVs, phone, or wifi ! The B&B includes breakfast cost $100/night
Our guests are welcome to tent camp or hang a hammock on our shady porch .
RVs can dry camp in our parking lot (sorry no hookups)
Paria Outpost is available to rent out for private parties, family reunions, weddings and retreats.

ABOUT US
Steve and Susan Dodson have lived in areas of beauty together for over thirty years. They built the Paria Outpost with their own hands.
Steve Dodson is a Utah Licensed General Building Contractor who enjoys hiking, fishing, and guiding folks to explore the unique formations and the remote backcountry in his own backyard. For over twenty years, Steve has explored back roads and canyons. Steve will show you some of the most spectacular sites of the area.
Susan Dodson holds a Master of Science Degree in Biology. She has held positions as a Chemist III with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Contaminants Specialist with U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and moved to the area twenty years ago to be the Aquatic Ecologist with the National Park Service at Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Susan taught public school from grades 6 – 12 through college level courses. Susan enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, swimming, and fishing. She is knowledgeable on the flora, fauna, and natural environment, and is always happy to share information about the area. Susan’s hobbies include raising and riding her AQHA horse, Starbuck Bueno, and breeding AKC Doberman Pinscher dogs.
