Let our professional photographer, Mike Leinen, assist you to capture stunning photos of spectacular landscapes. Mike will offer professional assistance and instruction as well as putting you in the right place at the right time for the best light and composition.
There are 3 main options for workshops:
- Noon to sunset or later afternoon to past sunset for night sky photography at White Pocket. $275 per person.
- Non-hiking option: drive to and shoot at Paria Movie Set and Stud Horse Point. 1p.m. to sunset or later afternoon to after sunset. $275 per person.
- Overnight at White Pocket from 1p.m. to noon the next day. We provide camping gear. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Some easy hiking is involved. $375 per person.

Workshops are limited to 10 people, must have at least 4 people. Workshops start and end at Paria Outpost. Nearest hotels are 30 minutes to Page, Arizona or 10 minutes to Big water, Utah and 40 to Kanab, Utah. Free camping and RV parking always at the outpost.
Mike Leinen
Mike Leinen is a photography specialist. He will assist serious to beginner photographers with guidance, instruction, and example to capture the best light, angles and features for stunning photos of our area. Mike has been a professional photographer for over 30 years . His favorite subject is wildlife. Also an avid outdoorsman, Mike has spent weeks to months in the wilds of Yellowstone and Alaska capturing photos of wolves, grizzlies and documenting caribou migration. Mike has published in magazines, shot catalog and stock photography, covered sports events and weddings. He and his wife Jean sold their photography store (film developing, printing) and gallery near Jackson, WY and retired in the Paria area about 15 years ago. Mike will be available during photography workshops.
