COMING SOON…PARIA OUTPOST… OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Paria Outpost & Outfitters Posted on May 1, 2020 by Jack HillmanMay 1, 2020
Having fun on a guided tour with Paria Outpost.

As of today, May 1, Paria Outpost will be open for tours in the Grand Staircase & Vermilion Cliffs National Monuments areas.

We practice social isolation as a lifestyle in the remote, rural environment where we live and consider the few tours we expect to have to be a minimum risk. All tours will be private tours.

Kane County, Utah has had only 3 COVID-19 cases so far. The area has been virtually empty for the last month and a half, though, we are now seeing a small increase in visitation.

Utah will be easing restrictions from RED (high risk) to ORANGE (moderate risk) as of today. Restaurants and lodging will be open, though, we never actually completely closed down like some states did.

The Bureau of Land Management offices and ranger stations remain closed, so there is no Wave, North or South Coyote Buttes lottery except online. All the BLM land including the Grand Staircase and the Vermilion Cliffs National Monuments remain open. There is a lot to do in our largely unvisited area for those seeking the outdoors.

Yesterday we went to South Coyote Buttes and the couple we took said they had no problem securing a B&B in Kanab, Utah. We also will allow free camping for our clients at our location on Highway 89 between Kanab and Page, Arizona. (GPS coordinates: 37.1075° N, 111.9109° W at mile 21 in Utah, 30 minutes from Page, Arizona and ten minutes from Big Water, Utah. We are 45 minutes from Kanab, Utah. We are easy to find, right on the highway with a big sign.) We don’t live there, but we’ll give you a key to the restroom.

Our area is a great alternative to the larger National Parks, which remain closed with no announcements so far as to when they will open. In addition to our tours we can provide assistance and direction to visit other locations nearby that you can do on your own and you could spend several days exploring our area.

Please visit our website at Paria.com to find out more about Paria Outpost and all of our amazing tours. You can email us at outpost@paria.com or call us at (928) 691-1047.

In addition to North & South Coyote Buttes, our tours include Soap Creek, White Pocket, Yellow Rock, Sidestep Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs, Grand Staircase, and Overnight Tours.

Paria Outpost has been providing guided photography, scenic, adventure, and hiking tours in the Vermilion Cliffs and Grand Staircase National Monuments for 22 years.

This is a vast and intensly diverse landscape of almost a million and a half acres, containing some of the most colorful and picturesquely shaped formations on the planet.

Though impossible to explore in a lifetime, we have seen enough of it to offer you exceptional photo opportunities in iconic sites as well as not so well known locations. Our photo galleries will give you an idea of what we’ve found so far.
